I got into dentistry initially, so my dad was a dentist for, I think, 52 years, and this is kind of my first experience with it and, you know, I got a chance to work together for 11, 12 years. I like doing what I do because I get to see people over and over again and kind of building those relationships with different patients and their families and it’s a rewarding thing to be able to see people throughout their life, watch kids grow up and kind of go throughout and see everybody and kind of move on. I think our record is six generations because my dad came up in the 70s and he was seeing folks and then grandkids and great-grandkids and now I see him too so it’s pretty cool. I grew up here in Anchorage went to service high school then undergraduate at Colorado State and then Dental School at Oregon Health Science University.

I had a filling and it was virtually painless. They have this fancy tool that holds your mouth open so you can rest your jaw, which helps a lot. I was late and they were very forgiving. Dr. Ersland does a great job of answering questions and keeping you informed. I also told them I get migraines, so they did my entire cleaning by hand rather than use the drill. The office is incredibly accommodating, thank you!!
